A Blog (short for Web Log) is a web site where the entries are created in chronological order and the entries are displayed in reverse chronological order (newest entry first). In most blogs, readers are provided a way to leave comments about the the entry. These comments can be read by all the visitors to the blog. Entries, called posts, can also be categorized by subject and archived by month. This makes it easy to read all of the posts related to a certain subject or that were written in a certain time frame.
The beauty of a Blog is that the owner of the Blog can create and publish a post to the blog anywhere he/she has access to the Internet. Readers can leave comments from their web browser rather than having to use their e-mail program. This ease of use can make a Blog much more dynamic and up to date than the typical web site that tends to change less frequently.
